THE CALIFORNIA BADGE SERIES

I was lucky enough to grow up in the state of California and not until about my mid twenties did I truly realize how fortunate I was to grow up here.  There are many other states in this country that have amazing places to see and awesome things to do but there is no state that has it all like we do here in California. 

 

I cannot overstate how much of an inspiration this state is to me. At the age of 18 I started a clothing brand with a friend that we coined a "California Lifestyle Brand". Our t-shirt designs and the content we created were all inspired by the lifestyle here in California. Ever since I created that clothing brand I have been creating graphics with reference to this state and I don't think I will ever stop doing so.

I created The California Badge Series to have a personal project where I could let my creative freedom run wild while still having an overall purpose.  For this personal project it's most definitely not about the destination it's about the journey.  I plan to add more badges to this series as often as I possibly can. Who knows, maybe I will take this series beyond the borders of California one day.
